Dyslexic Heart Podcast #1

After recording the latest episode of our Las Vegas podcast, Michele and I (mostly Michele) felt like continuing the fun. What resulted was our first non-Vegas podcast, featuring an hour of the two of us babbling, playing some music and having a swell time. We have no plans to make this a scheduled podcast, but we a good time and will likely put up new shows periodically.

  1. Is this a ‘shoe-enthusiast’ focused podcast? Since you don’t have listener calls, I can’t imagine a whole hour of non-vegas non-shoe talk.

  2. Some Tuesday songs:

Men Without Hats – On Tuesday
My favorite band, with multifaceted lyrics. More than just the Safety Dance!

    The Sibleys – Cold Duck
The subject is/are Tuesdays. This band is comprised of my in-laws.

  4. Only five minutes into the podcast and already Michele has already worried about disrespecting two people… maybe the podcast should be renamed “no disrespect intended”? πŸ™‚

  5. Great show and under 80 minutes. πŸ™‚ Needs more contemporary music.

Listened to the whole thing on an hours drive. Only way to do it.

  6. BTW my son wiorks for “the fruit company” as they call it at the head office . He is currently at thw WWDC in SF. His wife just-emailed us.

To make it even more confusing my daughter works at RIM.

    I dopn’t have either. πŸ™‚

  7. Wow, I never thought Tim and I would agree musically, but I really like Van Halen and Sammy Hagar. I saw Sammy in an elevator in the Chicago Four Seasons hotel once. Cool guy hanging with his band (pre van halen I think). I can’t drive 55!!!!

  8. I am one of those gluttons who made it through the whole thing. Nicely done and a great addition to the Dressen media empire. I can relate to a little of what both of you said about Facebook – I have connected with lots of people like Tim, but have also put up a wall at work (I started a new job in December) after basically being open to any and all work friends at my last place. It’s nice to have a refuge like that.

  9. Hey, we never got to hear Michelle’s promised Rush story! As a huge Rush fan I was all excited but then my hopes were dashed.

Also, you guys covered a lot of the Minneapolis music scene, but no love for Bob Mould?

Lots of good music in there. I’d dismissed Gaslight Anthem as another of those emo bands but never heard them. Now I have to pick up their stuff.
